Description

With a terrifying, unnatural creature laying siege to the town of Boroma, it’s unclear how anyone will survive…

This is a one-shot adventure beginning at level 4, designed for a party of four. It should take approximately 10 hours to play. The adventure is a light, roleplay heavy adventure that culminates with a large-scale combat to save the town of Boroma. They must use problem solving skills to find the best tools and gain the right allies to finally take on a creature before it can break through the walls and claim the city. The adventure features a number of magic items that can be found or bought, as well as a prize for completing the quest.

The adventure begins with the party being introduced to Chancellor Bingham. The chancellor acts as the head bureaucrat of the town, and it is customary for people seeking work, shelter or trade within the town to first be introduced to the chancellor, since it’s a small town that relies upon community to survive. While the party is introducing itself, a messenger arrives and informs the chancellor that the city has been placed under siege by a strange, massive creature, and it seems as though they only have a few hours to kill it before the creature breaks through and begins laying waste to the town. The chancellor asks for the party’s help since they’re already on hand. He says they can either go rally the guards across town, take a credit for two magic items to Mistress Argua’s shop and use the items to slay the beast, or convince Tinkerer John to deploy the automaton he’s been working on to defend the city. The players can do some of or all of these tasks, though there’s only time to fully succeed at one or partially succeed at two. The party then proceeds to the walls and fights off the Tainted Treant and save the town, being rewarded with an immensely powerful magic sword.
