Ever wanted to fight a horse-sized duck?
A Fowl Endeavour is a first level adventure that takes approximately 2-4 hours. The adventure is designed to either act as an introductory module for a party or as a one-shot. It can also act as a bridging session as your party travels between places. While this is a first level adventure we encourage using the scenario and locations at higher levels. The party happens across a strange crystallized creature in the middle of the road. Upon approaching it they are attacked by a group of citizens from a nearby town. After realizing their mistake the villagers cease their attack and beseech the party to rid the area of whatever has been attacking travelers. They will reward the PCs upon proof of riddance. The party is directed to a lake with a strange floating manor in the middle. After raiding the manor the players meet Madame Mallardy DeDuckington and her brood, who defend their house with honor.
A couple of players couldn't make it to our weekly game so I ran this one-shot for those who could. My players enjoyed trying to figure out what exactly the "mysterious creature" actually was. They also liked the clever unique combats and loved Manny the Goose! In short, it was an amusing, fantastic tale that provided plenty of laughs. We finished in about 2 hours 45 minutes.

It was so Much fun. It was my first time being a dm and it was great to start out with a short, one-shot type adventure. It took us about 4 sessions though because we are all quite new to it. I played this with my family (husband and 2 elementary school aged kids) and we had a lot of fun. It was challenging and interesting and we laughed at ourselves quite a lot. I’d definitely recommend this for a non-scary and fun way to start playing with kids.

The idea is fun and the encounters are pretty well balanced for a first level party. The plot hook is pretty weak though as written. Getting randomly attacked by people and then them trying to get you on their side just doesn't work well. If I were to rerun it, I'd just have the group start at the mansion as that is much more interesting.

It was fun for the first timers I played it for. As someone else said there was some covered up text by text boxes but it wasn’t the end of the world. The secret entrance to the goblin living space was weird because there was no one in there. But they still had fun.
Ran it as the second One Shot for our new group, everyone had a blast! No one fell for the Goose’s antics which upset the DM but other than that it was great.
Only issue we had was the loot table had a text box move over it so had to make up our own loot.
A really interesting idea unlike most others I’d seen before. Used it with a group of new players and they loved the concepts of this start to our campaign!
A great little adventure. For my daughter's Birthday this year, she didn't want a party or anything, she wanted an adventuring Party! She wanted to play D&D and this was a perfect adventure. We had a blast playing through it. Thanks for the content!
