OnlyCrits has always been incredible with their mystery dice sets. I love every set, they're always beautiful and so unique (which, for someone relatively new to dnd, was a surprise. Who knew just how unique you can make a set of 7 math rocks?!). My most recent set is perfect, as I have just finished up a year-long campaign as a golden dragonborn paladin with a black-steel sword. Sure enough, and as if by fate, my newest set of dice featured black and gold in a flame/dragon-like pattern. Perfection as always, OnlyCrits.

I forgot to share previous month mystery dice (blue and black). So I am sharing together with this month. I love both sets very very much!! Blue and black is beautiful and my favorite color. It has swords, and color and images matches one of my characters very well ^_^. Gold set has amazing dragonskin patterns behind wing and numbers. It looks like color change, gold and black, with view and light. I will use in next D&D meeting. I do not know how they choose dice style for each person for mystery sets, but it is amazing job and all my sets matches me perfectly. I am excited for next set ^_^.

First time trying a mystery dice set, and it is amazing! I didn't see this dice on the site and am very happy with surprise design. It feels old and lost civilization, or like dice a character would use in Skyrim. Weight is very good, heavy, and corners of dice are pointy, both I like. I ordered the monthly metal dice subscription, and quite frankly, I love it, and there's naught but a few things I would change, so below is a full list of the pros and cons of this purchase. I like to think of myself as a positive person, so lets start with the pros! Price: I run my D&D games at my local game store, and I get paid to do so by the owner in the form of store credit. While I love the place, and love shopping there, they don't have much of a selection when it comes to dice, and the ones they do have are very expensive. I work a minimum wage job, and because of that, I can't afford to throw $70+ away every time I want a nice set of dice. Now, with this subscription, I pay $39 monthly for a new set of dice, and I have NEVER been disappointed. Quality: One word. Brilliant. The dice have are a little bit heavy, which makes the roll have somewhat of a fullness to it, which I greatly enjoy. The designs on the dice sets are beautiful too, as you can see from the pictures posted above. I've yet to play using the gold ones, but I intend to when I go to play in my buddy's campaign this Friday. My personal favorite so far are the blue and rose gold ones. The hands around the numbers give a sort of arcane vibe, which matches perfectly with my wizard. Shipping speed: While it may differ given your location, I'm generally quite impressed. I live in Massachusetts and they ship from Illinois. They ship to me within 5-7 business days which is a pretty good delivery time unless you're in a situation where you're in a rush to get a new set of dice. You can also purchase the "haste" perk when you check out, which provides faster processing and shipping. The best thing about this perk is that you only have to pay for it the when you first buy the subscription. Definitely worth the extra five dollars if you ask me! Variety: The sets I've received so far are but a few in my collection, and no two are alike. They're all gorgeous, and I love playing with them all. Presentation: Every dice set that arrives at your door comes packaged in a lovely white cloth dice bag so that you have a place to put every last set of dice that you own. I snapped a picture of the bag and posted it as well. I like that they're identical, because it allows me pull out a random bag from my backpack whenever I DM so I never know which set of dice I'm playing with. It creates a fun element of surprise. Now onto the cons, of which there is really only one, and it most likely will only apply to some of the customers out there. Packing: I am an environmentalist, and try to avoid purchasing items which contain plastic, though I accept that sometimes it cannot be helped. This is why it infuriates me that each individual die is contained in its own tiny little plastic Ziploc bag. While I know it's for durability's sake, I feel as though it's unnecessary, they are metal after all. Well there you have it, my complete thoughts on this subscription. Overall, the pros outweigh the cons, and I would absolutely recommend this to the dice goblin who is trying to spend less on dice, or to the new player who wants to have a good selection of dice, but doesn't want to spend too much money. Of course it's all up to you.

The dice are well made, feel good to hold, and are satisfying to throw. The specific colour I got was Black with Gold numbering, which can be hard to read on some of the larger dice.
