Captain Blakely never spared a thought for the slippery octopus of the deep. He fished and sold them for a living, plumbing the depths of the corals in the Western Isles for the eight legged cephalopods, but never considered them beyond a source of wealth and food. Until the day of his greatest catch, hauling load upon load teeming with octopi, Captain Blakely thought he had been blessed by the gods. Had Blakely known how intelligent octopi were, had he known that they could squeeze themselves through gaps as small as an inch diameter, had he known that his only advantage over the slimy creatures was that his crew was larger, perhaps Captain Blakely would have made it home with his miracle catch... 

These octopus dice were made to honor the creatures of the deep, their metal dice faces serve as a reminder of the beauty of the natural world.
